Wyoming Department of Corrections COVID-19 update

In an update from the Wyoming Department of Corrections, as of Friday Dec. 18, the number of positive COVID-19 cases (confirmed positives) identified in routine surveillance samplings conducted last week was 75.

Below is a listing of the numbers by facility. Beginning today, Dec. 21, comprehensive surveillance sampling of staff and inmates will be conducted at WSP and WMCI and a 20% surveillance sampling will occur at the other WDOC sites and results will be released upon receipt.

Working with the Wyoming Department of Health, all positive inmate cases are medically monitored and managed by the Department and our health care provider (Corizon Health, Inc.) in accordance with CDC guidelines. The Department continues conducting rigorous surveillance testing at all sites as necessary and will provide additional information as it becomes available.
