Driver Arrested For DWUI/Reckless Driving After Pursuit Through Sheridan, Ranchester and Dayton
On August 26, 2025, at approximately 9:05am, officers with the Sheridan Police Department observed a reckless driver traveling on E. Brundage Lane at an estimated speed in excess of 80 miles per hour.
The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, which failed to yield to the emergency vehicle and continued at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle began attempting to elude the officer who coordinated the pursuit with other officers from the Sheridan Police Department and assisting agencies.
The vehicle continued through both residential and business neighborhoods until traveling to exit 20 on Interstate 90 and entering the interstate.
At the time, the vehicle began traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of travel.
The vehicle traveled in this manner for several miles at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour before moving to the westbound lane of travel.
Law enforcement personnel with the Wyoming Highway Patrol and Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office took over primary pursuit responsibilities as the vehicle exited I-90 at Ranchester.
The vehicle continued through the town of Ranchester in a reckless manner, as law enforcement personnel deactivated their emergency lights, but followed at a distance.
When the vehicle passed through Dayton, it pulled into the driveway of a residence adjacent to Tongue River High School and the driver was apprehended at this location.
The driver was identified as 21 year old Tynan Mogen.
Mogen was charged with multiple offenses for the pursuit including DWUI and Reckless Driving.
