JCSD1 Board Recognizes Retirement of Melanie Lund

During their meeting in Kaycee this week, the Board of Trustees for the Johnson County School District recognized one educator in Kaycee that will be retiring at the end of the current school year.

Kaycee School Principal Jake Evans introduced Melanie Lund to the school board and spoke about her importance to the students and faculty in Kaycee.

Board member Jan Johnson also spoke about Lund.

In addition to acepting Lund’s retirement effective at the end of the school year, the board also approved Ron Glassock as principal at Clear Creek Middle School; Angela Bailey as a P/T floater custodian for the district; and Adeline Zimmershied as a P/T food service assistant.

Resignations were accepted from Jayden Igo, speech/language pathologist for the district; and Teresa Preisner, band teacher at BHS/CCMS, both effective at the end of the school year.

And the board approved the transfer of Jennifer Strong from secretary to administrative assitant at Meadowlark Elementary, effective June 4.
