Jo Co Comm Approves Comprehensive Plan RFP

Johnson County Planner Jim Waller spoke to the county commission during their recent meeting to ask for approval for him to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the county’s update to their Comprehensive Land Use Plan.

Waller reviewed the details of and got clarification on a number of questions regarding the RFP.

Once the RFP is compiled and returned to the county by the consultants, there will be public meetings scheduled to gather comments on the plan, according to discussions.

Advertising the RFP was decided to begin in early January and will run through the commission’s second meeting in February so the selection committee has time to review them and make a recommendation to the commission, with a decision by the commission expected in early March for the award of the update for the plan.
