Caterpillar Keys Stolen From Landfill

On the morning of December 14, 2023, the Sheridan Police Department responded to a report of a
burglary at the City landfill facility on East Ridge Road. Investigating officers discovered that keys were stolen from several pieces of Caterpillar equipment by unknown suspects. The unknown suspects also stole cash that was secured in an office.

Caterpillar keys may be used to start other like equipment. Owners of Caterpillar equipment should
take precautions to prevent access to anyone who may attempt to start and take a piece of
equipment with the stolen keys. Anyone with information pertinent to this investigation are asked to call Detective Hartman at
