During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Sheridan County Commission Chair Christi Haswell and Commissioner Allen Thompson took the opportunity to remind residents of the upcoming deadline for the Wyoming Property Tax Refund Program.

Due to the legislature broadening the requirements to apply the program, Thompson recommended residents look over the information and determine if they qualify.

To provide more information on the program, beginning at 3:30 p.m. May 4, AARP Wyoming will host a tele-town hall with State Senate President Dan Dockstader, and Wyoming State Department of Revenue Director Brenda Henson to discuss the Wyoming Property Tax Refund process, who can take part in the program, as well as a general overview of why the Legislature passed the measure in 2022.

According to AARP Wyoming, anyone may join the call. The organization will dial out to a segment of its membership starting at approximately 3:25 p.m. on May 4. If residents do not receive a call, but wish to join the presentation, call 1-855-274-1448.
