News ReleaseA Sheridan woman who has been both a volunteer and community leader will now oversee the Wyoming Chapter of an organization that tries to enhance the quality of life for all as they age.
Stella Montano has been selected as the next Wyoming State President of American Association Of Retired Persons, or AARP.
As President she will serve as the head of the AARP Wyoming volunteer Executive Council and will lead the council in developing the strategic direction for AARP Wyoming.
Montano will also serve as the volunteer spokes-person to share the AARP’s vision, mission and strategic priorities.
In addition to her work with AARP, she volunteers as a Sheridan County Ambassador at the Wyoming Alzheimer’s Association, and is President-Elect of the Sheridan County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Montana has also conducted dementia workshops, coordinated health fairs, and is part of the Council of Social Agencies.
