In order to help make sure water in the Little Goose Creek doesn’t spill out in certain areas, workers may have to dirty the water a little bit.

The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality has received a request from Knode Ranch HOA, for a temporary increase in turbidity within the creek, south of the Big Horn Y intersection.

The temporary increase in turbidity is associated with proposed bank stabilization in the area.

When the project starts, the water in the area will appear cloudier than normal, and it will last up to 5 working days, subject to monitoring and reporting.

The activity will follow the procedures outlined in Wyoming DEQ rules and is covered under a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permit.
