Unemployment Rates Unchanged In Sheridan And Johnson Counties For September 2022

Wyoming continues to be better than the national average when it comes to unemployment, despite a recent increase in numbers.
The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services says the statewide unemployment rate increased from 3.1% in August, to 3.3% in September.
It was 4.2% in September of 2021.
The U.S. seasonally adjusted unemployment numbers for September 2022 is at 3.5%, which is down from 3.7% in August.
Sheridan and Johnson Counties’ unemployment rate for September are both at 2.8%, which is unchanged from August
The September 2021 percentages for Sheridan County was 3.1% and Johnson County was 2.9%.
Teton County had the lowest unemployment rate in Wyoming in September at 1.9%, while Sweetwater County had the highest rate at 3.8%.
Nonfarm employment in the Cowboy State has increased by 7,700 jobs from September 2021 to September 2022.
