The Sheridan Economic and Education Development Authority (SEEDA) has its budget set for the 2022-2023 fiscal year, and now the board is waiting for some new information to come in, before they can proceed on the next big project.
The Board approved a budget of $822,000-plus for the fiscal year that started earlier this month.
The main thing that the board will look at is the results of a feasibility study to determine if the North Sheridan Business Park should be expanded, or should a new business park be created elsewhere.
SEEDA Administrator Robert Briggs says looking back on the recent fiscal year, one of the big things was getting a Sheridan company moved into the business park.
“The main piece of last fiscal year was we got Kennon moved in actually just before the fiscal year and we’ve just been kind of working through some of the pieces with the Kennon project and getting that finalized.”
At the recent board meeting, SEEDA members elected to retain Gary Koltiska as chairman, and made Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger the vice-chairman.
