Sheridan Media Wins 14 Awards At 2022 WY Association Of Broadcasters Convention

The awards keep on coming.

At the 2022 Wyoming Association of Broadcasters (WAB) Convention in Cody, Sheridan Media won 14 awards (5 1st place, and 9 2nd place), making it the most successful year in recent history for the company.

Of the 13 categories available in large market radio (Sheridan, Gillette, Casper, Cheyenne, Laramie, Rock Springs, Green River, Evanston), Sheridan Media placed 1st and/or 2nd in 9 of them.

Of the 9, Sheridan Media swept 5 of them (winning both first and second place), including sweeping the Best Local News Talk Category for the 2nd year in a row, and for the 3rd time in 4 years.

Four employees (Ron Richter, Steven Schreffler, Aaron Linden and Kevin Koile) won 2 awards each.

2022 WAB Awards Won By Sheridan Media in Radio Large Market Category:

Best Public Service: Fill the Bus (1st Place) and Trees for Trash (2nd Place)

Best Local News Talk: Ron Richter (1st Place) and Aaron Palmer (2nd Place)

Best News Reporter: Kevin Koile (1st Place) and Floyd Whiting (2nd Place)

Best Photography: Steven Schreffler (1st Place) and Ron Richter (2nd Place)

Best On-Line Video: Steven Schreffler (1st Place) and Kevin Koile (2nd Place)

Best Station Promo: Aaron Linden – Buck Stops Here (2nd Place)

Best Commercial Campaign: Aaron Linden (2nd Place)

Best Radio Show: Tommy and Bell – KYTI (2nd Place…and 5 of the last 6 of either placing 1st or 2nd)

Best Sports Coverage: Trevor Jackson (2nd Place…2nd Year in a row).
