Sheridan Commission OK’s Airport Lease Rules and Regulations
The Sheridan County Commission, during their regular meeting Tuesday, voted to adopt Resolution No. 24-02-004, the latest draft of the Rules and Regulations Governing Leasing of County-owned property at the Sheridan County Airport.
Airport Manager Robert Gill spoke about the process of compiling the rules and regulations.
Paul Caldarra, who spoke in earlier meeting with suggestions to incorporate into the rules and regulations, spoke at Tuesday’s meeting , saying he was pleased with how the committee and the commission used his ideas.
Commissioner Nick Siddle explained that the draft regulations are a “working document” that can be changed if needed.

Will citizens have to abide by these rules, or can we just “make it up, as we go along” like the commissioners did during their Failed vacancy “non-replacement”?
Instead of following these new written rules, can we just rely on our “feelings” or our “conscience” as the Failed Four publicly said they did?
Sounds like a case of “rules for thee, but not me (the ruling elite).”
America was founded on the principle of “Rule of Law” NOT “Rule of men” for a reason. Written law is predictable, while “Rule of Men” is arbitrary and subject to whim. That’s what makes what the four commissioners did so troubling. They blatantly disregarded the law and publicly stated they “felt” nominees were unqualified. When the law clearly states they were to select one of the three nominees, Not act as “judges” of qualification. (they’d already been qualified by the 100-person Central Committee.)
The Four commissioners Failed us all! They conspired to “end-run” the Law!
They broke Faith with the Sacred Public Trust!
When we allow our Public Servants to conspire to violate the Law, it opens the door to Lawlessness, of both citizen and servant.
The Four Failed commissioners must be held to account!

It would be most helpful if we citizens and pilots of Sheridan County were given access to the new rules and regulations.
Is there a published link to them that could have been included in the story?

I’m a pilot, too, and I second the idea of written and published rules for all to see. That’s why it was so concerning when all four commissioners failed to read, follow and abide by the very clear rules on filling a vacancy on the board. They set a very bad precedent of simply ignoring the rules and going with their own “feelings” and “constituent input” (their exact words, not mine).
Let’s hope the trial of the “Failed Four” will help them see the value of following the law, instead of Whim.
Yes, officer I saw the 75 mph speed limit sign, but “felt” I was “qualified” to do 90…..so I did. Besides, it’s what my passengers advised me to do.
Circumventing the Law should have consequences…even for county commissioners….no matter which Wyoming county they live in…..No….what…me?
