Acme Interchange project update

The Wyoming Department of Transportation subcontractor Simon Contractors has resumed construction at the Acme Interchange Exit 14. 

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Wyoming Highway Patrol Lieutenant Erik Jorgensen gave listeners an update on local projects being constructed by WYDOT for the department’s Public Information Specialist Laura Dalles. 

Dalles was unable to appear on the program to give updates as she was conducting one of many informational meetings with Sheridan residents regarding the upcoming Main Street project.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation Commission awarded Simon Contractors this contract to reconstruct and mill and overlay the east and westbound lanes of I-90 between mile marker 19 and 15.  This project involves two phases. Phase one began Sept. 7, 2021. Phase two resumed June 1, 2022.

In phase one, Simon was to reconstruct a portion of the westbound lane of I-90 between the Tongue River Bridge and Acme Interchange Bridge. Phase two involves a similar process on the eastbound lane and the mill and overlay, providing a new surface to the roadway.
