Sheridan Commission Acknowledges Receipts and Expenditures

Sheridan County’s Commissioners considered the acknowledgment of receipt of the Annual Statement of Receipts and Expenditures at their last regular meeting.

Commission Chair Christi Haswell called on County Treasurer Katie Araas to explain the statement.

According to the Draft Annual Statement, the county’s budgeted income for Fiscal Year 2025-26 was just over $33 million, with the actual income at $nearly $35 million.

The budgeted expenses for 2025-26 was nearly $35.5 million, while the actual expenditures were almost $33.5 million.

The coroner’s actual income amount for the fiscal year was $328,305 set against an actual expenditure amount of $345,997.

The commission voted to accept the Annual Statement of Receipts and Expenditures.
