The Wyoming Republican Convention was held throughout Sheridan over the weekend beginning on May 5. The Ramada Plaza was the main headquarters, with many vendors and booths in the atrium.
On Thursday night the group held a meet and mingle and a fundraiser for the Sheridan County Republican committee at Kings Saddlery and the Don King Museum with special music by Dave Munsick.
On Friday there was a congressional delegation dinner at the Best Western, with Senator John Barrasso, Senator Cynthia Lummis and Governor Mark Gordon in attendance.
Candidate Harriet Hageman sponsored a Saturday breakfast at the fairgrounds exhibit hall, and James O’Keefe, founder of Project Veritas, spoke to a full house at the Early Auditorium at Sheridan Junior High School on Saturday afternoon.
David Iverson, who does Cowboy State Politics podcasts about news and opinion from Wyoming and the nation, welcomed the audience and introduced the speaker. Iverson said there are a number of groups that operate in Wyoming that people might not know what they represent, and a lot of them are not working in Wyoming’s best interest. Most of them are motivated to “turn Wyoming as blue as possible.” He added that it is important that everyone should know who these groups are so they can inform others, and the best way to do this is to do your own research. “That is what I like to do most, find one of these liberal groups and expose them for who they really are.”
O’Keefe is an award-winning journalist and writer and the founder of Project Veritas, and Project Veritas Action. These two non-profit organizations are dedicated to investigating corruption, dishonesty, waste and fraud in the public and private sectors. These investigations have led to new legislation, and defunding corrupt organizations, as well as criminal charges in some cases
Mr. Okeefe spoke about Project Veritas showing several videos about his organization, and some of what they are doing right now. He talked about a recent FBI raid on his home and his office. He said he felt that in the United States there should be equal justice under the law, and many times this is not the case. He said even the ACLU came to their defense as well. “And that’s shocking.” he added.
He mentioned that one of Project Veritas’s best known cases was the expose of Acorn, a taxpayer subsidized Obama Era association that conducted the census, registered voters and signed people up for various government programs. After the Project Veritas undercover expose, funding for the group was denied due to the corruption.
In 2016 the group discovered that an anti-trump group embedded people into the trump rallies to ‘stir-up trouble.’
O’Keefe spoke of several other undercover operations his group had worked on, and ended his talk by saying that when one is trying to find the truth, they can’t be afraid.
The convention concluded with a banquet on Saturday night, and O’Keefe was the keynote speaker. After the banquet there was a VIP reception with O’Keefe.

In one version or the another the Bible states, “Thou Shall Not Fear!” 365 times. That is one time for everyday in the Year. The United States of America will remain free and is the last hope on Earth for Freedom.

Dear Sheridan Media, please do your homework. Project Veritas was successfully sued by Acorn for defamation of character, and O’Keeffe has frequently been forced in any number of court cases to admit to using deceptive editing to deceive his audience. The fact that the Wyoming RPP choose to foist this grifter on the people of Wyoming, and paid him do appear, should tell you everything you need to know about what has become of the party that once accounted such giants as Malcolm Wallop as its leaders.

Deceptive editing? Isnt that what CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, and a host of other leftist media do, ray? You should have come, ray, he opened up the floor to questions from ANYONE, so you could have asked him any question your heart desired instead of reading questionable sources like wiki, etc. I wish politicians would open up the floor to questions instead of having a screener select questions that are handed to them from we the people. They have become cowardly over the last 20 years.

You are right about project veritas as shadow factions have hi jacked the old party of Lincoln. Old Abe is no doubt rolling in his grave over the dirty deeds of the failed GOP.I,and many others, who once had a belief in the Republican party do not any longer since the tea billy stunts took place. Of course a lot of the left has become hi jacked also. America really is in dire straits.

It was a good presentation. The FBI raid on his, and his reporters homes for once possessing ashley bidens diary, which was sent to them, was interesting. He compared it to the leak of Justice Alitos draft that was sent to politico, where no arrests have been made, and apparently no investigations have started……yet, but probably never will be. Some people are just more equal than others.
