The Hub on Smith is inviting the community to a Veteran’s Day celebration on Monday, Nov. 11, to honor and recognize the brave men and women who have served in the armed forces. The event will feature a ceremony, guest speakers, patriotic music, and a breakfast buffet to show appreciation for veterans’ service and sacrifice.
A breakfast buffet will be served from 7 – 9 a.m. in the dining room at The Hub on Smith, 211 Smith St. Veterans and a guest can enjoy the complimentary buffet as a gift for their service. For all others, the suggested contribution for registered patrons is $6, while attendees under 60 can enjoy the breakfast buffet for only $10.
The ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m., featuring the national anthem by Beck Bridger Dahmke, vocalist with the Wyoming National Guard. Also joining the ceremony for a special presentation is City Administrator Stu McCrae, a 30-year U.S. Army veteran.
“We are honored to sponsor this event, as it embodies The Hub’s mission to celebrate and serve our community’s older adults, especially those who have sacrificed for our country” The Hub on Smith Executive Director Carmen Rideout said.
