FPK/BTA to Present Veteran’s Day Programs

To celebrate Veteran’s Day, the Fort Phil Kearny/Bozeman Trail Association, (FPK/BTA) will present two programs on Sunday, November 10 at 2 p.m. at the Kearney Community Hall.

HB Puckett will share descriptions and details on the three US Navy ships named USS Wyoming. As a former Captain, he had a keen interest in this subject! He will also bring a few interesting artifacts.

Sonny Reisch will give a program on the life of General Philip Kearny, Fort Phil Kearny’s namesake. He was a brigadier general, during the Civil War, and died when he was shot during the Battle of Chantilly.

Reisch will discuss other interesting history relating to the Civil War and the Bozeman Trail forts.

The event is free, and all are invited to attend.
