Johnson County Approves 2024-25 Budget Amendment

Johnson County’s Commissioners, at their meeting this week, approved a budget amendment for their 2024-25 Budget.

County Clerk Jackie Camino brought Reolution No. 730 before the commission for their consideration.

After moving into a budget hearing, Camino gave the specifics on the amendment, saying the first was to document $5,827 coming into the county from the Wyoming Department of Transportation’s Airport Improvement Program concerning the Johnson County Airport’s apron improvement project.

The second was from the Opioid Settlement Fund in the amount $3,368.81.

Next was $9,000 from the Johnson County School District Recreation Board to Harold Jarrard Park for weightlifting equipment.

Johnson County Emergency Management received a $55,169 portable radio grant from Homeland Security.

And finally, Wyoming State Homeland Security awarded a $107,712 grant for the Johnson County Justice Center for their ballistic window wrapping project.

The total amount for the amendment was $181,076.81, which was approved by the commission.
