Ron RichterAn amendment to the design contract for the City of Sheridan Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Improvements Project was discussed this week by City officials. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
In May, the Sheridan City Council and Mayor Rich Bridger gave their approval of a design contract in the amount of $298,079 to have Burns and McDonnell go to a 30 percent design level for the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Project. City Utilities Director Dan Roberts said that Burns and McDonnell is complete with the 30 percent design of the project but are not quite ready to propose a formal Guaranteed Maximum Price offer to the City for construction.
Roberts is recommending the City Council approve a design contract amendment, in the amount of $432,010 with Burns and McDonnel authorizing them to proceed to a 60 percent design level of the project.
The amendment design contract will be considered by the City Council at their next business meeting Monday, November 18.
