Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers took to the field for the first time of the 2025 season this past weekend.

On Saturday, the team swept a double-header at home vs. 2-time defending A-League State Champ Powell.

Scores were 8-1 and 9-4.

Yesterday against Miles City, the Troopers were down 7-zip in the 4th inning and then rallied to win 11-9.

Head Coach Austin Cowen says for the opening weekend of the season, the team saw a lot of situations and the way they dealt with it was to be expected.

Sheridan next plays 2 games on Saturday and 1 on Sunday at Rapid City Post 22.

Sheridan County HS Outdoor Track and Field: Sheridan hosted a 3-team meet with Big Horn and Thunder Basin on Saturday.

Mountain West Conference Men’s Basketball: Boise State had their post season run in the Crown Tournament stopped short in the semi finals by Nebraska on Saturday, 79-69.

Nebraska defeated Central Florida for the championship yesterday.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies dropped 2 out of 3 games at home vs. the Athletics.

Colorado lost Friday’s game 6-3 in 11 innings, as well as Saturday’s game 7-4.

In that game Sean Bouchard hit a 2-run home run, Ryan McMahon had a solo shot and the defense turned a triple play.

Yesterday, the Rocks won 12-5 as Brenton Doyle went yard on his own and had 4 RBI’s.

The Rockies are off today and will start a 3-game home series tomorrow vs. Milwaukee.

Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets lost last night at home vs. Indiana 125-120.

It’s their 4th loss in a row and with 3 games remaining in the regular season, the team is currently in the #4 spot for the playoffs, but there are 4-teams that are ½ game behind them, and there’s a danger they could end up in the 4-team play-in series.

The Nuggets next play Wednesday at Sacramento.

Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche lost on Saturday at St. Louis 5-4.

The Avs next play tomorrow at home vs. Las Vegas.
