Six HS Football Players From North-Central Wyoming Selected For 2026 Shrine Bowl Game

High Schools within Sheridan and Johnson Counties will be well represented at a big fund-raiser game in June.

A total of 6 players from Sheridan, and Buffalo High Schools were selected as part of the North Team for the 2026 Wyoming Shrine Bowl Football Game.

The game is considered an all-star game with the best players from the North, going up against the best players from the South, and it’s also a fundraiser for the Shriner’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The players are: (Seniors ONLY)

Sam Huffman – Sheridan

Keegan Rager – Sheridan

Breck Reed – Sheridan

Gauge Rodgers – Sheridan

James Ihnat – Buffalo

Lane Rabel – Buffalo

The North Team is coached by Mark Lenhardt of Riverton

The North leads the series 28-20-3, and have won the last 2.

This year’s Wyoming Shrine Bowl Football game is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 13th at Natrona County High School in Casper.

Practice starts on June 6th.
