Sheridan HS Boys and Girls Basketball: Conference play in Wyoming High School 4A Basketball starts this week.
After having the last 2 weeks off, the Sheridan High School Boys are back on the court this week.
Unlike most other Wyoming teams, the Broncs played during the Holiday Break in Phoenix, thus the team had to take last week off from competition, to avoid playing too many games in a season.
Head Coach Jeff Martini says even though the team won all their games against out of state competition, there were some lessons learned.
Sheridan plays Friday at Cheyenne East and on Saturday at Cheyenne Central.
Last year was the first time since 1971, in which the boys state tournament had zero Cheyenne representation.
Unlike the boys, the Sheridan girls did play last week, and the results were less than desirable.
The Lady Broncs lost by double-digits to both 3A Wheatland as well as Green River, but finished with a double-digit win vs. Natrona County.
Head Coach Chris Wagner explained what worked and what didn’t.
Sheridan will also visit Cheyenne East and Cheyenne Central this weekend.
The Lady Thunderbirds did not qualify for last year’s state tournament, while the Lady Indians are the defending 4A state champs.
University of Wyoming Men’s and Women’s Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys are scheduled to play today as the team hosts San Diego State.

The Wyoming Cowgirls also play today as the team visits Boise State.

Denver Nuggets Basketball: The Denver Nuggets won last night at New Orleans 122-116.
