A 2-time state champion girls golfer from Sheridan will hit the links for the brown and gold.
Samantha Spielman has signed her letter of intent to golf at the University of Wyoming.
She won the 4A Girls Individual State Title back in September by 4 strokes, and won the title 2 years ago as a sophomore.
Spielman was the state runner-up in her freshman year and placed 3rd as a junior.
She says she had also been contacted by the University of Kansas, as well as a number of Division 2 and 3 schools, but decided that she didn’t want to go that far.
“I want to stay close to home a little, stay close to my family and then the team, the UW program’s culture and then just a good quality education. Jacoby will be fun, a little different.”
Spielman says she is undecided on a major.
