Sheridan County High School State Track and Field Results 2022

The weather wasn’t the best, but the competition was.

Team Scores:

The Sheridan boys repeat as 4A state champs with 134.5 points. Cheyenne Central was 2nd with 99.5.

The Tongue River boys win their first 2A state title since 1985 and 3rd in school history with 191.50 points. Big Horn were runners-up with 116.5.

The Tongue River girls repeat as 2A state champs with 117 points. Glenrock was 2nd with 111.

The Sheridan girls finished 4th in 4A with 69 points. Cheyenne Central (112), Kelly Walsh (96) and Natrona (79) were the top 3.

The Big Horn girls finished 5th in 2A with 66 points. Tongue River (117), Glenrock (111), Big Piney (76) and Pine Bluffs (71) were the top 4.

A Track and Field athlete automatically gets all-state honors if he/she finishes in the top 2 of the event they are competing in, except for relay events, which is winning team only!

Sheridan Day 3 Recap:

Carter McComb is the state champ in the 4A Boys 100 meter dash, with a time of 10.68 seconds, winning by 0.22 seconds. Dominic Kaszas (10.94 seconds) finished 4th.

McComb (39.44 seconds) and Dominick Berretini (42.52 seconds) finished 2nd and 6th in the 4A Boys 300 meter hurdles. The winning time was 38.89 seconds.

McComb is the state champ in the 4A Boys 200 meter dash with a time of 21.88 seconds, winning by 0.19 seconds. Dominic Kaszas was 4th with a time of 22.35 seconds.

Texas Tanner (61 feet 10 inches), Blaine Holwell (52 feet 6 inches) and Matthew Ingalls finished 2nd, 5th and 9th in the 4A Boys Shot Put. The winning throw was 65 feet 10 1/4 inches.

Austin Akers (4 minutes 25.83 seconds) and Reese Charest finished 5th and 8th in the 4A Boys 1600 meter run. The winning time was 4:21.08.

The boys 4 by 400 meter relay team was 2nd with a time of 3 minutes 26.40 seconds (0.99 seconds behind the leader). The team is comprised of Patrick Aasby, Carl Askin, Nathan Fitzpatrick, and Aiden O’Leary.

Preslee Moser finished 5th in the 4A Girls Triple Jump with a jump of 35 feet 2 inches (2 feet 11 1/4 inches behind the leader).

Averi Sullivan finished 7th in the 4A Girls 400 Meter Dash with a time of 1 minute 1.28 seconds (2.95 seconds behind the leader).

The girls 4 by 400 meter relay team finished 6th with a time of 4 minutes 11.24 seconds (5.56 seconds behind the leader). The team is comprised of Maggie Turpin, Avery Christopherson, Averi Sullivan and Danika Palmer.


Tongue River Day 3 Recap:

Caleb Kilbride (16.27 seconds), Cole Kukuchka (16.29 seconds) and Kaden Hill (17.18 seconds), finished 2nd, 3rd and 7th in the 2A boys 110 meter hurdles. The winning time was 15.42 seconds.

Garrett Ostler (11.40 seconds and Scott Arizona (11.59 seconds) finished 3rd and 7th in the 2A Boys 100 meter dash. The winning time was 11.20 seconds.

Javin Walker (40.64 seconds), Caleb Kilbride (43.89 seconds) and Cole Kukuchka (44.19 seconds) finished 2nd, 5th and 7th in the 2A Boys 300 meter hurdles. The winning time was 40.60 seconds.

Javin Walker (41 feet 7 1/4 inches), Caleb Kilbride (40 feet 9 1/2 inches) and Camden Kilbride (40 feet 2 1/2 inches) finished 2nd, 6th and 7th in the 2A Boys Shot Put.

Garrett Ostler is the state champ in the 2A Boys 400 Meter Dash with a time of 50.04 seconds, winning by 0.01 seconds. Eli Cummins finished 7th with a time of 52.88 seconds.

Al Spotted (4 minutes 31.65 seconds), and Wyatt Ostler (4 minutes 35.93 seconds) finished 2nd and 3rd in the 2A Boys 1600 meter run. The winning time was 4:31.43.

Garrett Ostler (22.89 seconds) and Scott Arizona (23.55 seconds) finished 2nd and 7th in the 2A Boys 200 meter dash. The winning time was 22.77 seconds.

The boys 4 by 400 meter relay team are state champs with a time of 3 minutes 32.33 seconds, winning by 0.82 seconds. The team is comprised of Scott Arizona, Eli Cummins, Javin Walker, and Ryan McCafferty.

Jane Pendergast (17.05 seconds), Athena Stanton (17.68 seconds) and Jazlyn Ryan (22.57 seconds) finished 2nd, 5th and 7th in the 2A Girls 100 meter hurdles. The winning time was 16.79 seconds.

Carleigh Reish (13.10 seconds) and Katy Kalasinsky (13.53 seconds) finished 4th and 6th in the 2A Girls 100 meter dash. The winning time was 12.85 seconds.

Jane Pendergast is the state champ in the 2A Girls 400 meter dash with a time of 1 minute 0.62 seconds, winning by 1.07 seconds. Katy Kalasinsky finished 4th with a time of 1 minute 3.47 seconds.

Maddy Hill placed 3rd in the 2A Girls 1600 meter run with a time of 5 minutes 48.46 seconds (20.16 seconds behind the leader).

Jane Pendergast (27.54 seconds) and Carleigh Reish (27.56 seconds) finished 4th and 5th in the 2A Girls 200 meter dash. The winning time was 26.47 seconds.

The girls 4 by 400 meter relay team finished 4th with a time of 4 minutes 29.93 seconds. The team is comprised of Paxten Aksamit, Addison Rosics, Madison Burnett, and Jazlyn Ryan.


Big Horn Day 3 Recap:

Dylan Greenough-Groom (11.40 seconds) and Jax Zimmer (11.53 seconds) finished 2nd and 4th in the 2A boys 100 meter dash. The winning time was 11.20 seconds.

Caleb Gibson finished 4th in the 2A Boys 300 meter hurdles with a time of 42.44 seconds (1.84 seconds behind the leader).

Isaac Adsit finished tied for 5th in the 2A Boys Pole Vault with a vault of 10 feet 6 inches (2 feet behind the leader).

Riley Green (52.23 seconds) and Dawson Richards (52.24 seconds) finished 4th and 5th in the 2A Boys 400 Meter Dash.

Ethan Alliott finished 7th in the 2A Boys 1600 Meter run with a time of 4 minutes 57.61 seconds.

The boys 4 by 400 meter relay team finished 2nd, with a time of 3 minutes 33.15 seconds (0.82 seconds behind Tongue River). The team is comprised of Riley Green, Caleb Gibson, Dawson Richards, and Jax Zimmer.

Peyton McLaughlin is the state champ in the 2A girls 300 meter hurdles with a time of 48.32 seconds, winning by 0.97 seconds. She also finished 2nd in the 2A girls 100 meter hurdles, with a time of 17.00 seconds (0.21 seconds behind the leader).

Annabelle Davies finished 5th in the 2A girls 100 meter dash with a time of 13.46 seconds (0.61 seconds behind the leader).

Saydee Zimmer finished 6th in the 2A girls 300 meter hurdles with a time of 50.90 seconds.

Annabelle Davies finished 8th in the 2A girls 200 meter dash with a time of 28.34 seconds.

The girls 4 by 400 meter relay team are 2A state champs with a time of 4 minutes 18.95 seconds, winning by 0.74 seconds. The team is comprised of Ashley Billings, Annabelle Davies, Peyton McLaughlin and Saydee Zimmer.


Sheridan Day 2 Recap:

Austin Akers finished 4th in the 4A Boys 800 meter run, with a time of 1 minutes 59.24 seconds. The winning time was 1:57.25.

Texas Tanner is the state champ in the 4A Boys Discus, with a throw of 194 feet 2 inches, winning by 27 feet 8 inches.

The boys 4 by 100 meter relay team are state champs with a time of 42.90 seconds, winning by 0.33 seconds. The team is comprised of Ryan Karajanis, Carter McComb, Dominic Kaszas and Carl Askin.

The boys 4 by 800 meter relay team finished 3rd with a time of 8 minutes 14.03 seconds (4.68 seconds behind the leader). The team is comprised of Reese Charest, Patrick Aasby, Samuel Bisso and Austin Akers.

Ryan Karajanis is the state champ in the 4A Boys Pole Vault, with a vault of 15 feet 6 inches. Gaige Tarver was 2nd with a vault of 13 feet, and Kaden Moeller finished tied for 5th with a vault of 12 feet 6 inches.

Maggie Turpin finished 7th in the 4A Girls 800 meter run, with a time of 2 minutes 22.34 seconds. The winning time was 2:14.34.

Hanah Sullivan (123 feet 4 inches), Gennah Deutscher (118 feet 11 inches) and Nora Butler (118 feet 5 inches) finished in 4th, 6th and 7th in the 4A girls discus. The winning throw was 138 feet 4 inches.

The girls 4 by 800 meter relay team was 3rd with a time of 9 minutes 56.18 seconds (6.81 seconds behind the leader). The team is comprised of Katie Turpin, Alexa Miller, Abby Newton, and Maggie Turpin.


Tongue River Day 2 Recap:

Jacob Knobloch is the state champ in the 2A boys discus with a throw of 145 feet 4 inches, winning by 12 feet 5 inches. Colter Hanft placed 6th.

Al Spotted (2 minutes 2.95 seconds), Wyatt Ostler (2:04.02) and Isaiah Cotes (2:08.27) finished 2nd, 3rd and 7th in the 2A Boys 800 meter run. The winning time was 1:55.59.

Garrett Ostler is the state champ in the 2A boys long jump with a jump of 21 feet 6 3/4 inches, winning by 6 3/4 inches.

The boys 4 by 100 meter relay team finished 3rd with a time of 47.55 seconds. The team is comprised of Kaden Hill, Colter Hanft, Aiden Watt and Alex Barker.

The boys 4 by 800 meter relay team are state champs with a time of 8 minutes 53.90 seconds, winning by 6.96 seconds. The team is comprised of Al Spotted, Isaiah Cotes, Camden Kilbride, and Wyatt Ostler.

Camden Kilbride (5 feet 8 inches) and Caleb Kilbride (5 feet 8 inches) finished tied for 4th and 7th. The winning jump was 6 feet.

Jacob Knobloch (49 feet 5 1/4 inches), Colter Hanft (42 feet 9 1/2 inches) and Bonner Wood (41 feet 5 1/4 inches), finished 2nd, 6th and 7th in the 2A Boys Shot Put.

Maddy Hill finished 2nd in the 2A Girls 800 meter run, with a time of 2 minutes 33.86 seconds. The winning time was 2:31.01.

Jeniah Lovingood (32 feet 1 1/2 inches) and Faith Whitehead (28 inches 10 1/2 inches) finished in 5th and 8th in the 2A Girls Shot Put. The winning throw was 35 feet 2 3/4 inches.

Carleigh Reish is the state champ in the 2A girls long jump with a jump of 17 feet 8 1/2 inches, winning by 6 3/4 inches. Reish also finished 2nd in the 2A girls high jump with a jump of 4 feet 10 inches. The winning jump was 5 feet 0 inches.

Katy Kalasinsky finished in 7th in the 2A Girls Triple Jump with a jump of 30 feet 10 inches.

The girls 4 by 100 meter relay team finished 3rd with a time of 53.68 seconds (1.03 seconds behind Glenrock). The team is comprised of Tania Fernandez, Janiah Lovingood, Madison Burnett, and Jazlyn Ryan.

The girls 4 by 800 meter relay team finished 4th with a time of 11 minutes 49.69 seconds. The team is comprised of Addison Rosics, Marajah Pease, Peighton Kenney, Elizabeth Heser.


Big Horn Day 2 Recap:

Ethan Alliot finished 4th in the 2A 800 meter run with a time of 2 minutes 06.80 seconds. The winning time was 1:55.59.

Cooper Garber (132 feet 11 inches) and Josh Thompson (130 feet 8 inches) finished 2nd and 3rd in the 2A Boys Discus.

Bryce Morris finished 5th in the 2A Boys Long Jump, with a jump of 19 feet 8 1/2 inches.

The boys 4 by 100 meter relay team are 2A state champs with a time of 44.48 seconds, winning by 0.62 seconds ahead of Wright. The team is comprised of Dylan Greenough-Groom, Dawson Richards, Riley Green, and Jax Zimmer.

Josh Thompson is the state champ in the 2A Boys Shot Put with a throw of 50 feet 0 1/2 inch, winning by 7 1/4 inches. Cooper Garber (40 feet 11 1/2 inches) finished 8th.

The boys 4 by 800 meter relay team finished 4th with a time of 9 minutes 16.29 seconds. The team is comprised of Cade Butler, Ethan Alliot, Sander Moog and A.J. Moline.

Toby Schons finished 2nd in the 2A Boys High Jump with a jump of 6 feet.

Peyton McLaughlin finished 7th in the 2A Girls 800 meter run with a time of 2 minutes 35.88 seconds.

Kate Mohrmann is the state champ in the 2A Girls Triple Jump, with a jump of 34 feet 8 3/4 inches, winning by 2 inches. Saydee Zimmer (32 feet 3 inches), Torie Greenelsh (31 feet 7 1/2 inches), and Ashlee Billings (30 feet 7 1/2 inches) finished in 4th, 6th and 8th.

The girls 4 by 800 meter relay team finished 3rd with a time of 11 minutes 47.28 seconds (47.19 seconds behind Wyoming Indian). The team is comprised of Aubrey Butler, Emme Mullinax, Kaitlyn Schultz and Lauren Smith.

Kate Mohrmann (15 feet 5 inches) and Saydee Zimmer (14 feet 3 1/2 inches) finished 7th and 8th in the 2A Girls Long Jump.

Mohrmann is the state champ in the 2A Girls Triple Jump with a jump of 34 feet 8 3/4 inches, winning by 2 inches. Saydee Zimmer (32 feet 3 inches), Torie Greenelsh (31 feet 7 1/2 inches) and Ashley Billings (30 feet 7 1/2 inches) finished in 4th, 6th and 8th.


Arvada-Clearmont Day 2 Recap:

Dellana Michelena competed in the preliminaries of the 100 meter dash and 100 meter hurdles.


Sheridan Day 1 Recap:

Austin Akers was 4th in the boys 3200 meter run with a time of 9 minutes 56.70 seconds. The winning time was 9:45.46.

The boys sprint medley relay team are state champs with a time of 3 minutes 35.83 seconds, beating Laramie by 0.39 seconds, but missed the 4A state record by 0.7 seconds. The team is comprised of Dominic Kaszas, Patrick Aasby, Nathan Fitzpatrick, and Reese Charest.

The girls sprint medley relay team was 2nd with a time of 4 minutes 20.41 seconds (4.06 seconds behind Jackson). The team is comprised of Vivian Morey, Ellen Brown, Averi Sullivan, and Maggie Turpin.

Preslee Moser is the state champ in the 4A girls high jump with a jump of 5 feet 4 inches. Dulce Carroll was 3rd.

Hanah Sullivan (41 feet 2 1/2 inches) and Josie Ankney (40 feet 2 3/4 inches) were 2nd and 3rd in the 4A girls shot put. The winning throw was 42 feet 7 1/2 inches.


Tongue River Day 1 Recap:

Al Spotted is the state champ in the 2A boys 3200 meter run with a time of 10 minutes 13.76 seconds, winning by 1.58 seconds.

The boys sprint medley relay team are 2A state champs with a time of 3 minutes 53.88 seconds, winning by 0.18 seconds. The team is comprised of Colter Hanft, Aiden Watt, Javin Walker, and Eli Cummins.

The girls sprint medley relay team finished 2nd with a time of 4 minutes 45.58 seconds (3.58 seconds behind Moorcroft). The team is comprised of Jeniah Lovingood, Jazlyn Ryan, Jane Pendergast, and Maddy Hill.

Carleigh Reish is the state champ in the 2A girls long jump with a jump of 17 feet 8 1/2 inches, winning by 6 3/4 inches.

Maddy Hill was 2nd in the 2A girls 3200 meter run with a time of 12 minutes 55.57 seconds (14.36 seconds behind the leader).


Big Horn Day 1 Recap:

The boys sprint medley relay team finished 3rd with a time of 4 minutes 1.95 seconds (8.07 seconds behind Tongue River). The team is comprised of Bryce Morris, Isaac Adsit, A.J. Moline and Owen Petty.


Arvada-Clearmont Day 1 Recap:

No one from the Lady Panthers competed on the first day.
