Gerald Van Litsenborgh age 66 of Sheridan Wyoming, born July 29th, 1954 in Mitchell S.D. passed away on August 22nd, 2020 peacefully in his sleep. Gerry was doing what he loved, camping at Park Reservoir.
Gerry was preceded in death by his mother and father, Colleen and Eugene Van Litsenborgh, his sister Sandra Van Litsenborgh, brothers Chuck Van Litsenborgh and Ray Van Litsenborgh.
He is survived by his son Erick Blakeman, daughters Shannon Van Litsenborgh and Amber Shupien. Grandchildren Lillian Shupien, Ashlynn Trode, Colby Trode, and Dominic Trode. His brothers and sisters Dan Van Litsenborgh, Nancy Nelms, Marlis Van Litsenborgh, David Van Litsenborgh, Susan Van Litsenborgh, Noel Van Litsenborgh, and Melanie Jennings.
Gerry loved camping, anything outdoors, painting, mechanical projects, his grandkids, family, and friends. He was a true mountain man, he had said many times he would live in the mountains if he could.
Gerry was a great man. There was nobody he wouldn’t help even when physically he couldn’t do much, he would be there if only to tell you how to do it. Everyone he knew and some he didn’t have stories of how he helped them or changed their lives.
Services will be September 11th, 2020 at 10:30am outside at Kane Funeral Home, 689 Meridian St. Sheridan Wyoming. There will be a reception following the service at the Best Western 612 N. Main St Sheridan Wyoming. If you are going to be booking a room let them know you are with the Gerry Van Litsenborgh party.
The family requests that anyone that knew Gerry or if he changed lives in any way attend both. The family will be very grateful to hear stories of his life and help lift up their spirits. This will be a beautiful last memory for us all to have of him and to respect the life of Gerald Van Litsenborgh.
