Mona Madeline Schoenfelder

Mona Madeline (Stewart) Schoenfelder, of Sheridan, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28th, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Mona was born to Ralph and Cleo (Roberts) Stewart on October 25th, 1954, in Chamberlain, South Dakota.

Mona was a lifelong member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. She was steadfast in raising her family in the living Christianity. She loved attending church meetings and visiting her many Christian family and friends.

Mona is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Jon Emanuel Schoenfelder, nine children; Jon Jr. of Sheridan, Marcus (Rebecca) of Sheridan, David (Juliene)  of Sheridan, Dean (Mary) of Davenport, Monica (Clinton) Granger of Sheridan, Nancy Schoenfelder of Sheridan, Sue (Tyler) Slaybaugh of Sheridan, Brenda (Cliff) Kelley of Battle Ground, Jesse (Kelly) of Winlock; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings Fred, Fawn, Ian, Poppy, Helen, Robin, Matthew and Rosie; and a host of other Christian friends.

Mona was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Ralph, Chap, Gale, and Gen, as well as her granddaughters Madeline Schoenfelder and Shelby Buskirk.
