Carol Ann Copp

Carol Ann Copp (McCalla), 82, of Sheridan, WY passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County surrounded by loved ones.

Carol was born June 30, 1943, in Sheridan, Wyoming to Maurice and Helen (Scott) McCalla. On August 3, 1963, she married Kenneth Copp at ST Peter’s Episcopal Church in Sheridan, Wyoming. The couple raised two sons and one daughter together. She worked at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital for 15 years as a Unit Coordinator in the ER Medical Surgical department.

Carol was also employed at the Bus Barn as a bus driver for many years. Carol was a part of many horse clubs including Blue Sky Saddle Club, The Equestrianettes and Cowgirls. Carol rode her horse in lots of parades around the Sheridan area. She loved the mountains, four-wheeling or riding horses. She also loved to fish, travel and leather work plus many other interests.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2005; her parents; one son, Dean Copp and one grandson, Jacob Fauber. Survivors include her son, Mac Copp (Stephanie), and her daughter Tina Fauber (Jeff). Also including grandkids Ashton Copp, Shain Hansen (Trent), Spencer Copp (Hannah), Shelby Swinyer (Kyle), Tavis Copp, Austyn Reed (Josh), Kolte Copp, Hunter Copp, Nicole Fauber, and 12 great grandkids.

A Service in Honor of Carol’s Life will be held in the Champion Kane Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM, with Reverend Kevin Jones officiating. Following the service a luncheon will be served.

Inurnment will take place following the reception at the Dayton, WY Cemetery, where Carol will be laid to rest next to her loving son Dean.
