Evelyn D. Miller
Evelyn Drusella (Eberle) Miller, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on November 10, 2025, in Sheridan, Wyoming.
Born in Dayton, Kentucky, Evelyn’s early years were marked by humble beginnings that instilled in her a lifelong determination to create a brighter future for her and her family. After graduation from Amelia High School (OH), Evelyn married her one true love and lifelong partner, Kenneth Miller, with whom she shared an enduring bond of love, laughter, and mutual respect. Together, they raised two devoted daughters, Patricia and Ruth, in Goshen, Ohio, providing a safe, nurturing, and joyful home.
Before becoming a mother, she began her working life as a “cookie packer” at Strietmann’s Cookie Company (now part of Keebler), where she developed both a strong work ethic and a lasting aversion to the scent of Pecan Sandies. Evelyn later devoted herself to her greatest calling—being a loving partner, mother and homemaker. Her warmth, wisdom, resilience, and yes, sometimes stubbornness, filled the household she and Kenny built together. In time, she pursued a successful career in real estate and became the family’s trusted financial strategist, guided always by her commitment to ensuring her children had the opportunities she once dreamed of.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Eberle and Louise Walls Telford.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth; daughters Patricia and Ruth; sons-in-law Steven Gentile and Carl Morton; and four beloved grandchildren—Christen Neugebauer (Leo Geoghegan), Claire Neugebauer (Elizabeth Chaney), Matthew Gentile, and Ava Gentile—each of whom brought her immeasurable pride and joy. She also has three surviving sisters, Patricia Case, Donna Sue Ladd, and Dorothy Wolfinger, and multiple nieces and nephews who call her the “fun” Aunt.
Evelyn’s interests were as wide-ranging as her spirit. A fierce competitor, she loved playing and watching sports and was an avid fan of the ladies of the WNBA. She enjoyed traveling with her Beloved, hunting and fishing (though she was never convinced of the merits of catch-and-release), and following the stock market, always eager to learn, grow, and secure her family’s future.
Above all, Evelyn will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her quiet strength, sharp intelligence (and tongue), and the deep, steadfast love she shared so freely. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped and the love she leaves behind.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 1 S. Tschirgi Street, Sheridan, Wyoming. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Evelyn’s remarkable life. In lieu of gifts, please consider a donation to the St. Peter’s Diaper Bank in her memory. Online condolences may be made to www.sheridanfuneral.com. Arrangements are under the care of Sheridan Funeral Home.
