Obituaries
Fabian Wyatt
Fabian JoAnn Wyatt, a devoted wife, proud mother, cherished grandmother, and fearless adventurer, fought her final months with relentless strength and grace. She remained positive and focused only on what truly mattered until her death on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the age of 71.
Born on January 7, 1954, Fabian’s greatest joy was the people in her life. She created a loving home in many places over the years, spending most of her life in Sheridan, WY.
Fabian was an adventurer who visited all seven continents. She loved sharing memories of her exploits, which included walking alone across the Serengeti in her 20s, skiing in Chamonix, France, seeing the indescribable blue of the Antarctic glaciers, living in Corfu, Greece, taking a transcontinental train across Australia, and hiking both Machu Picchu and the Great Wall of China. She also treasured countless cruises taken with her beloved family.
Closer to home, Fabian found exhilaration riding snowmobiles through the Big Horn Mountains and exploring the country in the family motorhome. She was a lifelong fan of The Rolling Stones, traveling near and far to see them in concert for over 50 years, up until their most recent tour in 2024.
A true lover of the arts, Fabian brought this passion to her professional life. As the Director of the Wyo Theater, a highlight of her tenure was bringing the special holiday show, “Lime Creek. Christmas,” read by Garth Brooks and Anthony Zerbe, to the theater in 2001. She was honored to host Mr. Brooks for dinner in her home after the performance.
Fabian’s diverse career path also included work as a flight attendant, a travel agent at Britain World Travel, and a pharmacy technician at Walgreens.
Fabian was preceded in death by her father Norbert Duffek, mother Florence Duffek, and her daughter Melissa. She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Michael Wyatt; her daughters, Miki and Veronica; her beloved grandchildren, Matt, Jackie, Dana, and Danica; and her siblings, Cathy, Bill, Tom, Dan, and Becky.
