Mildred Louise Wilson, 97 of Sheridan, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2020, at Green House Living for Sheridan. Louise was born November 2, 1922, on the family ranch at Parkman, Wy. Brought into this world by Dr. Taggart, an old country Dr. from Parkman, Wy. There she was raised by her parents, Edwin F. Barker and Matilda (Klinkosh) Barker. Growing up was at times a challenge for Louise as her only companions were her two brothers, John and Ed Barker, and 6 boy cousins Robe rt, Gabriel, Phillip, Eugene, Joseph, and George Barker. They were always teasing and pulling pranks on her. All attended the Little Blue School.
As a young woman, she ventured to Oregon, spending time with one of her friends until she returned home in the mid-1940s. Louise was very proud of her career working for the CB&Q Railroad as a telegrapher and depot agent. She worked at many Railroad depots Ranchester, Parkman, Wyola, Hardin, Clearmont, Lysite, Echeta, and others.
In the late 1940s, she married John T. Kobielusz. John had two boys; Ted age 7 and Gary age 4. Together, they had two more sons Larry and Robert. For quite a few years, they lived on Dutch Creek, later moving into Sheridan, Wy. They divorced in 1967. Louise, a short time later, married Ardean Wilson (Willie) who was also a telegrapher and depot agent for the railroad. For the most part, they lived in Lodge Grass, MT They both loved horses and always had at least 2 around the place. Louise was an avid animal lover.
Louise enjoyed baking and cooking. She was famous for her home-made chili and prune doughnuts. She also loved collecting antique dishes. For many years she spoke to her mother in German. It was entertaining for her to talk to us in German, even though we had no idea what she was saying. Family time meant more to her than anything. She loved spending time with all her children and grandchildren. Two of her grandchildren, Louisa and Dardan, for the most part, were raised by Louise. They became like her own children and were loved as her own children.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents Ed & Matilda Barker, her brothers John & Ed Barker, her first husband John T. Kobielusz, her husband Ardean Wilson, her son Gary Kobielusz, and her grandchildren Micheal Kobielusz & Ryan Kobielusz. Louise is survived by her 3 sons and their spouses, Ted (Connie) Kobielusz, Larry (DaleAnn) Kobielusz, Robert (Sherry) Kobielusz, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorials to honor Louise can be made to the animal shelter 84 E. Ridge Rd, Sheridan, WY.
