The HUB on Smith is looking for some Sheridan County residents that would like to volunteer.

Many of the programs at the HUB could not take place without the hard working volunteers that get work done and perform many various tasks and duties with a smile that sometimes makes all the difference to Sheridan seniors.

From folks delivering food to seniors with the Home Delivered Meals Program, the workers at Urban Thrift, to the Friendly Volunteers these volunteers are critical to the HUB on Smith’s operations.

The HUB on Smith’s Volunteer and Education Coordinator Jamie Brester told listeners of Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, there are many different jobs volunteers perform for the seniors of the community.

Urban Thrift, the store belonging to the HUB on Smith, also has options for volunteer jobs. According to Store Manager for Urban Thrift Mandy Silveira, many tasks are typical of a retail store, while other tasks require a flare of artistic purpose.
