HHEB and WHN Partner to Provide Financial Literacy Course
Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns and the Wyoming Housing Network (WHN) will offer a free Financial Foundations course to help residents strengthen everyday money skills and work toward greater financial stability.
Habitat for Humanity Home Owner Services Provider Christa Jensen appeared on Sheridan Media’s Pulse and announced the class will meet from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 4 and 5 at 44 Fort Rd. in Sheridan.
Jensen said some people are taught financial literacy and others are not taught these matters when they are young. Jensen likened them to learning how to drive a stick shift.

Jensen said this two day course is designed to teach participants to build everyday money skills—setting financial goals, budgeting, saving, managing debt, and understanding credit. She said the class is useful for people interested in homeownership, but is for anyone who would like to develop stronger financial skills for everyday life.
Registration is limited to 15 participants to ensure all questions are answered from those who wish to take part. Light refreshments will be provided, and participants will receive a certificate upon completion.
To register, contact Star Armstrong at 307-233-8515 or stara@whninc.org. Jensen encourages interested Sheridan residents to reserve their places early.
