SMH COVID-19 Vaccine clinic opens Jan. 27

A three-week collaborative effort across many levels of Sheridan Memorial Hospital will culminate on Jan. 27, with the opening of a COVID-19 vaccination clinic. 

SMH Internal Medicine and Lean teams took on the brunt of the work to get this clinic operational, according to Marketing Manager Alan Dubberley. The Clinic will be overseen by SMH Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Addlesperger with Director of Lean, Lekan Ajayi, providing the operational oversight of the clinic.

Located on the second floor of the Outpatient Center, the clinic will offer only one service; vaccinations against the Coronavirus.

Hours of operation will be varied based on SMH’s availability of the vaccine. All appointments must be scheduled in advance. No walk-in services will be offered and walk-in traffic will not be allowed.

Once a person fits into one of the priority categories being vaccinated, call 675-4471 to get put on the waiting list for an appointment. Potential vaccine recipients will receive a call back to schedule an appointment once vaccines become available.

Currently, all doses of the vaccine SMH has received or is scheduled to receive is already spoken for. This includes 975 doses of the Pfizer vaccine delivered on Jan. 26.  

Once at the clinic, patients will be vaccinated. No other services are being offered in this clinic.
