A train caused numerous fires from Parkman to the Aberdeen Exit in Montana on Interstate 90 Tuesday. Fire departments who responded were the Tongue River, Ranchester Fire, Big Horn, Goose Valley, Sheridan Fire-Rescue and Clearmont.

Watch Duty reported the fire as 100 acres at 3:26 p.m. No structures were damaged. Sheridan County Government on Facebook declared the fire contained at 6:02 p.m.

Jeff Baron, chief, Tongue River Fire District, said “right out of the gate”, the firefighters protected the structures.
