The Museum at the Bighorns prepares for Cemetery Tours: World War II

The Museum at the Bighorns will be hosting walking tours of the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery on Sept. 5, in honor of the 75th anniversary of World War II’s end. U.S. Army veteran Tammy Mansfield will be leading the informative tour as guests visit those who bravely served their nation.

This tour is scheduled for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sept. 5. The cost for each tour is $10 per person per tour, and a limited number of spaces are available.  Participants may sign up for the Cemetery Tours by calling the Museum at the Bighorns at 675-1150 or they may shop online at: www.museumatthebighorns.org.

During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Museum at the Bighorns executive director Mikayla Larrow, informed listeners that tickets are available and visitors will learn some surprises about their fellow Sheridan residents of the past.

Participants are advised to dress appropriately for weather conditions, sturdy walking shoes and a water bottle are also recommended. Each tour will last for about an hour-and-a-half. This year, all tour participants will be required to wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth.
