Full Moon Fort at Fort Phil Kearny

Published

Tickets went on sale Monday, Sept. 14, for the annual Full Moon Fort at Fort Phil Kearny, on September 25 and 26. Full Moon Fort is a time to see Fort Phil Keary at night, by the light of the full moon, and hear some spooky stories about the old fort.

At the past Full Moon Forts, there were stations set up around the fort grounds, and guests walked from the interpretive center to see and hear about various aspects of the fort, such as the hospital tent; hearing ‘Ol’ Gabe’ talk about his role at the fort and sat around a campfire listening to stories that happened during the fort’s heyday.

This year, the event will be a little different, Site Superintendent Shari Shada said.

Advanced tickets are required for the event. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased on-line at fortphilkearny.org. Children 12 and under are free but must be accompanied by an adult. Reservation acknowledgment will be emailed to you. (A physical confirmation will not be sent via USPS)

Times on both days are 7:30, 8:15 and 9 p.m. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time and check in at the Fort Phil Kearny Interpretive Center.

This is an outdoor event. Please dress accordingly.
