Amie Holt Care Center Administrator JoAnn Kay, in her recent report to the hospital board, said the residents are excited about a new van that is being built for the facility.

The van is being custom-built and was made possible by funding from the JCHC Foundation and the generosity of community members.

She said the AHCC is thankful for the investment in the safety, independence, and quality of life for their residents.

In her written report, Kay said the average census in the care center in July was roughly 39 residents, for an occupancy rate of about 88%, with an average length of stay at 732 days.

The bed capacity for the center is 44.
