Jumping on board with Travels with Charley: In Search of America
John Steinbeck is seen as one of the greatest authors in American history. But in 1960, the author of The Grapes of Wrath and Of Mice and Men decided to load-up in a modified pick up truck with his loyal companion – an elderly standard poodle named Charley – and spend the next 11 months rediscovering the nation he loved, criticized and wrote about.
The result was another novel penned by the Pulitzer Prize winning author titled, Travels with Charley: In Search of America.
