Ron RichterA multi-day jury trial concluded earlier this week in Sheridan. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
The trial in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan came to a close Monday, November 13. The trial began on Friday, November 3 with the jury selection process. The jury returned a guilty verdict on 15 counts of felony burglary against William Holliday. Each count of burglary is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. A date for sentencing will be set at a later time.
Following an investigation that lasted several months by the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office, Holliday was arrested in March of this year and charged with numerous counts of burglary for breaking into vehicles and stealing items from the vehicles. The crimes occurred between December, 2022 and February, 2023.
