Pat BlairWith two candidates running for mayor, and six seeking three seats available on the city council this year, all of the candidates in the non-partisan Sheridan city elections will advance to the general election in November.
County Clerk Eda Schunk Thompson earlier this week confirmed that in a nonpartisan race in the primary elections, two candidates will each advance for each seat available.
In the race for Sheridan mayor, challenger Rich Bridger ran ahead of incumbent Roger Miller, nearly 2,680 to just over 1,900.
Top vote-getter in the race for city council was Kristen Jennings, with over 2,200 votes.
Seventy-seven write-in votes were cast in the council races and 13 in the race for mayor.
