CHEERS TO 90 YEARS

As part of our KWYO 90-year celebration we’ve asked for memories and stories from you to share. Peggy Corson to work for KWYO back in the day and held a number of different positions at the radio station.
As a reporter Peggy said she was mostly assigned to do a lot of interviews.
Her favorite memory was the day she interviewed actor Raymond Burr.
Peggy said she enjoyed her time at KWYO, and she’s happy to help us celebrate our 90 years.

As a young person in the 1950’s (7-10 years old) I used to walk from Emerson Street to the KWYO studio on Main Street to participate in the “Little Nipper Show” on Saturday mornings. All of us would sit on the floor and listen to the show and participate in little contests. I believe the gentleman who entertained us was Mr. Jim Carroll. What fond memories.
