Johnson County, Harness Agree to Lease Terms for Morgue Facilities

Johnson County and Harness Funeral Home have reached an agreement on a lease for the funeral home’s morgue facilities for the new County Coroner Shawn Sullivan to use moving forward.

During the commission’s recent meeting, Commission Bob Perry explained that County Attorney Tucker Ruby had drafted the agreement that was approved by Harness and Sullivan and brought before the commission.

Ruby spoke on the agreement.

Ruby said there was nothing for the commission to approve, as the two parties had already signed the agreement, it was just brought before them for their information.

No details on the agreement were discussed or released.
