Each year the generosity of the Sheridan community ensures that wishes submitted to Sheridan Media come true.
According to Sheridan Media Sales Manager Jim Schillinger, the employee owned media station has fulfilled 21 wishes so far this holiday season. Some wishes are for bills to be paid, some wishes are to simply be able to help kids have something under the tree on Christmas morning. Sheridan Media can make it happen all thanks to the generosity of the Sheridan Community.

To ensure as many of those wishes were granted as possible, the Sheridan County community donates not just money, but also services and goods to be distributed.
Sheridan Media Traffic Director Liz Kincaid said that she enjoys being a part of the process every year and there is no such thing as a small donation every amount counts.

According to Kincaid, gifts through the years have included visits from Santa, the purchase and return of a pair of wedding rings that had been pawned to pay bills, even something as simple as the purchase of a dinner to show a husband’s appreciation.

That is a great program to have here in Sheridan. To help people when they have fallen in hard times is a great way to help those less fortunate.
