Sheridan Community Land Trust Recreation Program Manager Jared Koenig made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to talk about the new trail in the system, getting ready for winter and how his duties keep him busy year round.

SCLT built the Double Eagle at approximately 1.8 miles, which amounts to 2.6 miles in length if one chooses to travel out and back on a loop.

Koeing’s duties include planning, building and maintaining the SCLT community trail system. He told listeners how to access the new Double Eagle, even though winter has arrived.

Although the temperature has dropped, Koenig’s duties still require him to walk the trails and ensure they are open and safe for those looking to explore the area.

Koenig loves his job, he’s outside and working in the open air in Sheridan. But with the winter season settling in, Koening said the shovels will most likely be put away for the year.

All of the staff at SCLT wished to extend their appreciation to the volunteers who have helped with multiple projects this year.
