Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball: The Sheridan Troopers Legion Baseball team split games yesterday at Omaha, Nebraska.

In the first game, the team lost against Wayzata, Minnesota 8-5, but rebounded to beat North Platte, Nebraska 9-6.

Afterwards, Sheridan was able to make it and watch the College World Series Game last night between Arkansas vs. LSU.

Avon Barney says he’s been to one of those games before and it’s quite an experience.

Will Greer shares a similar story.

Today the Troopers will play a team from Lincoln, Nebraska starting at 6:30pm Mountain Time.

Tomorrow, the team will take on Fargo, North Dakota at 11am as well as Papillion, Nebraska at 1:30pm.

Big Horn HS Boys Track and Field: The Big Horn Boys 3-peated as 2A state champs last month by a pretty big margin thanks to their runners.

Among them was senior Noah Smith who won the 2A boys 200 meter dash, placed second in the 2A boys 100 meter dash, and was part of the Rams’ 4 by 100 meter relay team which finished 1st.

Smith says for most of the season, BH dominated the short distance races, and competing against his own teammates, made things interesting.

In the 200 meter dash, Big Horn finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd in that race, which amounts to 24 points in the team standings.

The 2A Boys competition was pretty much over after that race.

Colorado Rockies Baseball: The Colorado Rockies have now won 4 in a row, after winning their 3rd straight game last night at Washington 3-1.

Michael Toglia and Jordan Beck each hit solo shots for the cause.

The Rocks will attempt a 4-game series sweep of the Nationals today starting at 11:05am.

The team will then return to Denver to begin a 6-game homestand tomorrow, with 3 games vs. Arizona, followed by 3 against the LA Dodgers.
