AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers will officially kickoff their baseball season Monday at 4:00 due to ongoing construction at Thorne-Rider stadium and sanitizing equipment. They will be using Redle field at the Rec. Department as well to help with social distancing of players and coaches.

The construction at Thorne-Rider includes the installation of a new artificial turf infield that most likely won’t be ready when the season begins later this month.

Wyoming American Legion baseball has set a target date of Memorial Day weekend to open the season and it is expected the shorter season this year will have teams avoiding any out of state travel to play games with the State tournament set to begin in early August.

There will no regional post season tournaments this year or an American Legion World Series tournament National leadership called off all national postseason events last month.
