Pokes fall to Utah State / Cowgirls at the Aggies Tonight / Hawks Junior Hockey Home Saturday Night

HAWKS JUNIOR HOCKEY – The Sheridan Junior Hawks are back in action this week with a home and home series with Yellowstone Quake from Cody the Hawks host Saturday night’s game at 7:00.

The Hawks have already clinched a playoff spot and are 30-6-1 overall tied with Bozeman for the best record in the division, Head coach Andy Scheib says they have a lot of great hockey in front of them.

They are coming off an idle weekend and Scheib says they would have loved to play but that was the way the schedule worked out.

And he says they are late in the regular season and the players are doing a nice job of keeping their focus as they look to try and keep the momentum going as they work toward the playoffs.

It’s a special youth promotion night Saturday at the M&M Center it will be a fun night for Sheridan’s youth hockey players, all youth players that wear their team jersey’s will get in free with a paying adult.

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS HOOPS – The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals playing at Eastern Wyoming tonight and host Western Wyoming Saturday at the Hoffman dome game times are scheduled for 2:00 and 4:00.

Lady Generals Head coach Ryan Davis says they expect a good challenge in both games.

Generals Head coach Cody Ball says they are in for a couple of good games as well.

BRONC SWIMMING / DIVING – The Sheridan Bronc swimmers and divers swept Duals from the Gillette schools Tuesday they beat Thunder Basin 110-63 and knocked off Campbell county 103-63. Friday the Broncs will compete at an invitational in Laramie.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS – The Sheridan high school basketball teams have more conference action Friday when they host the Natrona county Fillies and Mustangs game times are 5:30 and 7:00 you can hear both games on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

TR HOOPS – The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles play two on the road this weekend at Rocky Mountain Friday and at Moorcroft Saturday.

BH HOOPS – The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams host games with the Wright Panthers Friday and play at Rocky Mountain Saturday.

COWBOY HOOPS – The Wyoming Cowboys lost at home Tuesday night against Utah 68-45 they play at San Jose state Saturday.

COWGIRL HOOPS – The Cowgirls play tonight at Utah state pregame at 6:30 tip at 7:00 on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

WRESTLING – The Bronc wrestlers have a dual at Natrona county tomorrow and compete in the annual “Ron Thon” invitational in Riverton matches start Friday.

INDOOR TRACK – The Bronc and Lady Bronc indoor track teams head back to Gillette this week for a meet tomorrow.
