Dennis Davis
Dennis Davis passed away after a battle with cancer, August 3rd, 2025. He was born January 25th, 1949, in Cut Bank, Montana as the youngest of 5 children to Henry and Elma Davis.
After graduating from Cut Bank High School, he attended the University of Montana, graduating with a degree in business. In 1970, he married his high school sweetheart Stephanie Newhouse. They moved to Miles City where he went into the family business, running United and Anco Beverage.
Following a divorce, he moved to Sheridan, Wyoming to work as a general manager for Metz Beverage. In 1989, he purchased the Parkman Bar. The Parkman Country Club was a unique place to combine his business sense, charismatic personality, and love of people. In 2010, he put his love of cooking to use, adding on a restaurant and turning it into The Parkman Bar & Grill — “Where Custer Should Have Stopped.”
In 2021, he sold the bar and retired, caring for his longtime partner Diane Dempster, who preceded him in death in 2023.
He is survived by his children Katie Davis (Louisville, KY) and Matt (Erika) Davis of Minnesota, MN, as well as grandchildren Jamie and Kaylee Davis.
His wit, common sense, and genuine personality will be missed by many.
