Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon has tested positive for the coronavirus. An email from the Governor’s office confirmed the results of the COVID-19 test that showed he is positive for the virus. The governor has minor symptoms at this time and plans to continue working on behalf of Wyoming remotely.
According to the Associated Press, the governor’s office at the Wyoming State Capitol in Cheyenne was closed on Tuesday for a deep cleaning after another office employee tested positive for the virus. Gordon quarantined for 14 days earlier this month due to a possible exposure during a meeting in Riverton attended by Dr. Deborah Birx, a member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force. The governor subsequently tested negative.
