Buffalo Council Recognizes Kirven for Years of Service
At the last Buffalo City Council meeting, Mayor Shane Schrader asked for approval of his choices for appointment as city attorney and building inspector.
Approved were Kendall Iverson as building inspector/special municipal officer and Zane Hengel as city attorney.
During the Public Comment portion of the Agenda, Councilman Scott Madsen thanked outgoing city attorney Dennis Kirven for his service to the city.
Mayor Schrader also recognized Kirven by saying, “thank you, Dennis.”
According to City Clerk/Treasurer Julie Silbernagel, Kirven has been the city attorney since the 1970s except for a few years when Ben Kirven held the position before becoming a District Court Judge in the Fourth Judicial District of Wyoming.
